The first pieces from the long-awaited launch of Off Whites Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton collection were released to the public at a pop-up space in Mayfair, London this past weekend. The full collection is set to release to the public internationally as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

The 2,000 square foot spanned townhouse space was decked out with the LV monogram in a rainbow of colors, set to motifs of the wild forests and poppy fields of The Wizard of Oz. The ready-to-wear, which ranges from tailoring to hoodies, and soon-to-be cult accessories, are displayed in a transparent box printed with the LV monogram. Standout pieces include the playful Yellow Brick Road sweater, luxury functional monogram pouch holster vest, and reimagined Millionaire sunglasses.

Attendees of the October 19th ribbon cutting included household names of fashion/entertainment Idris Elba, Rami Malek, Rita Ora, and Frank Ocean. Customers are able to book an appointment to attend the pop-up via ticketing.louisvuitton.com until October 25.

And when it comes to Virgil Abloh’s further collabs with Louis Vuitton: he’s got one message he wants you to know this brand is about everyone. “They will be able to identify who the models are, what they do. It’s about giving them an identity, about them no longer being anonymous bodies. There’s a map of where they live in the world, and where their parents came from. I thought that works, you know, with the idea of Louis Vuitton and travel.”
