Rudy Giuliani Suspended and His Talk Show Cancelled by WABC Radio

written By: Demetrius Brown

The old saying goes; “Never Bite The Hand That Feed You”. Rudy Giuliani has been suspended and his talk show cancelled after repeated warnings from WABC management regarding his comments about the legitimacy of the 2020 election. The New York Times first reported the news. Billionaire John Catsimatidis, a major GOP donor and owner of WABC, explained to NBC News that Giuliani had been cautioned twice about his comments during his three-year tenure on the show.

Addressing the broader implications, Catsimatidis remarked, “While it’s difficult, we must draw the line somewhere to protect the business.” This action comes amidst a wave of lawsuits and settlements involving other media companies, including a $787.5 million settlement in 2023 between Fox News, Dominion Voting Systems, and a separate out-of-court settlement by Smartmatic against One America News Network.

Despite the cancellation, Giuliani remains defiant. “This is an outright violation of free speech,” he argued, claiming ignorance of any such policy. “If there was such a policy, it was so frequently breached that it couldn’t be taken seriously.”

Catsimatidis noted his personal regret over the decision, saying, “It feels very bad because Giuliani is still America’s mayor.”

Giuliani should start his own podcast to continue expressing his views.

The Income Needed to Be Middle Class in Every U.S. State—Nearly $200,000 in Two States

The income needed to be considered middle class in the U.S. varies greatly by state, with some states requiring over $150,000 annually. Maryland and New Jersey are at the high end, where a middle-class income approaches $200,000. The exact ranges are based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey. Financial well-being, however, goes beyond income and is influenced by our perceptions and comparisons, says financial psychologist Brad Klontz.
