To accompany her Complex cover story, the rapper sat with the team for a G.O.A.T. Talk, where she discusses her “greatest of all time” across different categories. After revealing her G.O.A.T. rap songs from both J. Cole and Nicki Minaj, she revealed that for inspiration, her greatest of all time rapper is Tupac Shakur.

The “Tap In” mogul reflected on growing up when her parents would play his music “almost everyday.” She also loved how he loved women. “He made you proud to be a Black woman. He made you proud to be in your skin,” she expressed.

She continued, “I think people like that are really important for a group that is constantly oppressed and experiences injustices. He made you feel like ‘it may not be okay now, but it’ll be alright later.”

In the written portion of her cover story, she revealed how his T.H.U.G. life acronym sparked her to turn her “pretty B****” mantra into something more. The “b****” in Pretty B**** Music is as follows: ‘“B” stands for bossed up or bossy, “I” for independent, “T” for toughness, “C” for creative, and “H” for hyphy (a nod to her roots in the Bay).”
